How this calculator works
Choose a size preset or enter the download size reported by your launcher. The download can be smaller than the final installed game because of compression. This tool estimates the transfer stage; disk writes, decompression, installation and patches can add time after the network transfer finishes.

Worked example
Suppose a launcher reports a 150 GB download and your connection is 300 Mbps. The theoretical transfer takes 1 hour 6 minutes 40 seconds; at 85% usable speed it takes about 1 hour 18 minutes 26 seconds. The launcher may still need time and extra disk space to unpack the game.

Should I enter download size or installed size?
Use the launcher’s download size. Compression can make installed size larger than the transferred files.
Does the estimate include installation and patches?
No. The tool models the network transfer; unpacking, storage writes, installation and subsequent patches take additional time.
Are the game presets actual title sizes?
No. Small, AAA and large AAA are illustrative 10, 100 and 150 GB sizes rather than claims about specific games.
