How this calculator works
Regular hours use the base hourly rate. Overtime hours use the multiplier you enter, such as 1.5 for time-and-a-half. The total combines both components for the same pay period. This arithmetic does not establish when overtime is legally required or how employers should classify hours.
Formula
pay = rate × regular hours + rate × overtime hours × multiplier
Assumptions & limitations

Worked example
40 regular hours plus 8 at 1.5× on $25/hour gives $1,300.
For an annual estimate of regular hours, use the Hourly to Salary Calculator; this overtime tool covers the pay period you enter.
